Lucrecio Repollo is a sickly young man in his 4th year of highschool. But he is very sensitive about his nation's dire and sensitive situation that he always join rallies and protests against the corrupt and injustices made by the Philippine government.

One unfortunate day, Lucrecio went to a rally that got out of control and he was caught by the police that was dispersing the crowd. A corrupt mayor, paid those policemen to exterminate the leaders of the group that was opposing his reign. That night, the police van pulled over at an isolated grassy area going to the prison where the leaders were supposed to be detained. The police shot the 5 prisoners including Lucrecio at the back and left all of them for dead in the middle of nowhere. Lucrecio was the last one to breathe his last breath until a respectable middle aged man wearing a black suit and a rounded hat helped him up and miraculously cured his gunshot wounds. He told Lucrecio that he is Crisostomo Ibarra and he will help him become the most powerful defender of the Philippines the world has ever known. Crisostomo gave him a pendant that is similar to the shape of the sun of the philippine flag. He needs to memorize and say these words out loud in order to become the protector of the land "ANG PUSO, DIWA AT BUHAY KO'Y SA INANG BAYAN LAMANG" (My heart, my thougths, and my body is for my motherland.) And from that point on in Lucrecio's life, he became the Greatest superhero of them all, KAPITAN BANDILA, with his twin agimats and all the power of the heroes of the philippines, he vanquishes foes that will harm the freedom and security of his land and its people.
